What light do you run on your ~20-30 gallon cube?

I currently have a 25 gallon tank with an AI prime. It’s been serving me well.

I’ve started adding more SPS frags and might consider adding a BTA or a small clam. If I did this, I’m wondering if I should opt for a better light then? Such as a AI hydra 32 or a Radion XR15 G5 pro.

What light do you use on your similar sized tank?

Currently running an AI Prime 16hd on my 28g cube, but am going to be testing out the Noopsyche V3 140w light, it should arrive in the next couple days. I am pretty satisfied with the AI prime though, I would definitely recommend it. Noopsyche offered to have me test their light and document my experience, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about the power/spectrum of the Noopsyche, so I’m going to try it out.

Before the Prime I was using the stock JBJ Nanocube wifi LEDs which actually aren’t too bad as far as stock lighting goes. I’ve got halide and T5 fixtures I could run, but I don’t want to get back into buying bulbs every nine months.

edit: my BTA is doing great under the aI prime, as are my (limited) SPS. I think unless you wanted a clam on the sandbed or better coverage the 16hd would be adequate.

Had an apex ap700 laying around. Fit the bill. Also,replaced ai prime 16hd

I started with AI Prime HD on my Waterbox 20 Cube. Then used Radion XR15 G5 Pro for about 15 months. Very good lighting. Recently, I've just replaced the G5 Pro with a "panel style" GNC M Pro for reduced shadowing. Have been using the GNC for a month. Very happy thus far. I enjoy playing new toys.

Running 2 AI Primes on my Reefer 170 with diffusers on them. Adopted the AI Prime [slightly modified] WWC schedule and it's working great so far. Definitely like the spread and power of using 2 Primes.

I was also considering a second AI prime. Only downside is that I'm maxed on outlets, I have used all 20 of them, and I am hanging my current AI prime

Cool. I have a few more SPS frags arriving tomorrow. Just wanted to make sure, since I'll likely be getting a BTA sometime in November
