What light spectrum is best for BTA health/color?
Specifically, Kelvin temperature range would be helpful.
How much PAR?

I have a green BTA and it gets a little glow with stock biocube lighting at 14k. I want to do better, but not overdo it. Also, want to stick with the stock lid.

My RBTA has moved to high par ( directly under lights = over 250 par radion G3 with typical AB lighting schedule ) and then after a week or two moves to a high corner where par is low ( under 100). So, I am not sure there is a perfect par or spectrum they "like" or even need. Especially since they move now and then --even when they seem perfectly happy. I started with one 3 years ago, and have sold or given away at least 6 "babies" and currently have 3 in my tank - the main one ( currently in a high corner) and 2 smaller ones ( both high in tank and cirectly under a light) .

Interesting.... My BTA isn't very bright at all. More of an olive drab most of the time with sometimes lime green tentacles. Only below the bulbs, though.
Never seen one get more than an inch or so long, so maybe it is just a little one?
The tank is 3 days old and he was a stow away on a piece of live rock. I didn't intend on keeping one, but since he's here and obviously attached to his rock, I'll roll with it.
Despite the stress of moving, new tank, and aquascaping, it seems to be doing ok so far.
Will I get more "pop" in color if I throw in a 20k led strip on the hood? Maybe some growth?

Be patient... Only three days in a tank after a move as a stow away, etc. Amazing it is alive. If you look up my build thread you will see these guys take there time to get "happy" - but then decide to really grow quickly and make lots of babies. Like I said I started out with one , that was a frag really - part of our club's meeting showing how to cut up and propagate coral and we cut one Anemone - I got half. It took 6 months to become a regular looking anemone, then after about a year it started make ng babies and looking very nice. Now the original is about 6-8 inches across if fully opened.

Cool! That's good to know. After what I read about anemones, I was surprised it was alive also lol.
That's why I'm asking. Want to make sure I maximize chance of survival.
It is very small at this point. Don't think I've seen a tentacle get even an inch long and spends a lot of time receded and deflated.

Can you send a pic of this please? Several items in your description have me thinking of aptasia (a pest anemone) and NOT a bubble tip. "small", "olive brown", "stow-away" I'm just curious, and trying to be helpful.

Its not aptasia or majano. 99.9% sure it is a BTA.

This is when it first arrived. Lucky I didn't squish it while humbling rocks around to aquascape.

I rearranged the scape the day after finding it since it was hidden from the light. Best shape I've seen it in...

After the first water change, it decided to move. Inflated every afternoon through night and into late morning. Would usually retract for an hour or two. At this time. No gaping mouth or expulsion.
Eating mysis 2 times per week and growing. Can be seen center bottom of this pic. Left of green RFA. For size reference, ricordea is just shy of 2" and RFA is about 3". Both new additions to tank here. Noob mistake putting ricordea on rock... He didn't stay there lol.

Got a little porcelain anemone crab and he took right to the BTA. All seemed to be going well until disaster struck a few weeks later. Noticed BTA was closed for a couple days in a row. Flipped over the rock so I could see the crevice he was hiding in to find this:

Large tear in the foot down near the base. I have an emerald crab that likes that area of the tank, and have witnessed her forcing herself into the same hole as the bta. My porcelain crab also lost a claw, so I suspect there was a scuffle of sorts.
Either way, from what I have read, these types of injuries are often fatal, so I gently removed the BTA from that location (via gentle tickling until foot release) and placed it in its original location.
Foot reattached quickly, but it expelled for a several days and bleached badly. Crab however, resumed hosting and feasted on expulsions. Has mooted twice since then.

Here we are today. Still alive, and hopefully on the road to recovery. Damage to foot seems to have healed. Grown a small amount. Some bubble and color starting to return to tentacles.

The crab has about doubled in size since the last pic too!

I know I have had posts all over this forum with various questions regarding all different aspects. I really appreciate the help that has been given.
Now, lets hope this little guy can make a full recovery!

My RBTA is doing great in a JBJ Cubey 20G cube. I run the white and blue stock LED's. I'm not sure of wattage or kelvin ratings. I will need to look at the box when I'm at home.
