I am going to buy a AI prime 16 for my IM nuvo 40 40 gallon saltwater tank. I want to grow lps corals would you guys suggest i buy 1 or 2 AI prime 16 for my tank or the AI 32? Thanks

1 prime won’t be enough regardless of dimensions... their par is low a buddy runs 3 ai primes on a 40b so he can have some decent par

Watch the BRS video. You may get away with one if mounted correctly. I believe around 14 inches was the sweet spot for optimal spread.

YouTube is more helpful a lot of the time than R2R. BRS, reefdudes, and melevsreef or some of the best for getting you information that helps. BRS sometimes is all about sales though.

I got nuvo 40. I had 2 mount 7 inches and didn’t do well having max spectrum. I switched to one raised it up to 10 inches. All I got are euphyllias, mushrooms and acans. With par meter I am getting 100-200 which is way more than enough. I’ll share pics shortly.
