3 tanks - all with ATI T5 and reef brites - about to do my upgrade - 72 x 27 x 27 tank - going to be running 60" ati 8 bulb with a Reef brite strip in front and rear will have (3x) x15 with wide angle lenses.

The lights does a good job but the spread over the tank isn't even (hot spot in the middle). Since it's a sps tank that is an issue as I want acro in the middle and edges (right now everything is in the center)
I've been considering different options that will give better coverage but it's tricky with such a shallow tank
Old school. On the 300g run 2x 400w metal halide radium bulbs on luminarcs. Center run 2 reef breeders. Sides 2 VHO superblues. On the 30 drag run an aquatinics 5 bulb t5 and a photon led. On the 75 a simple 4 bulb t5. Mainly softies in that one.

I did, custom built in place, it has been set up for 17 years, but just did a complete tear down, bleach out and reset. Going Triton Method

4 Hydra 26 HD's over DT and Kessil A160WE.. I would really like to go back to Halides (call me old school) or add more supplemental lighting maybe with T-5's but the LED's are holding there own
