I just installed three new Neptune Sky lights on my 240 gal reef tank. WOW! I was looking for a system that will give me the day light and moon light at night. With the Sky lights, I can select a nice blue light on my reef or select a great light for photoshoot of the reef or other light setup for SPS grow. All us already done by Neptune. At the end of the day, the lights will slowly diminish intensity and replace gradually by the moon light. I like to see what reef hobbyists are using to light their SPS or LPS

I have a nano so I just have a single Kessil A160 blue tuna and my LPS love it!

6 foot SPS tank here. I’m using everything but the kitchen sink! 2 orphek OR3 bars, 2 T5, a couple short reef brite XHOs, 3 Reefi UNOs, & 2 metal halide fixtures.

One ai 16 for my 20 cube.
3 noopsyche k7 for my 60 shallow.
Very happy with both.

I use GHL Mitras 7206 lights on my display tank and Kessil AP9X lights on my coral farm.

I have 3 tanks, my take
  • 900xxl 3x Neptune Sky. So far so good, some buyers regret as I think these are a production dead end, sometimes wish I got the XR30 …Also wish it had some easy to canned modes like photo, maintenance, red, et
  • 750 xxl …3x Red Sea RL90 …these are well made, robust and dependable. No frills and also no easily configured modes for photography et….not a fan of the Red Sea app
  • 300G2 3x Prime 16HD …I’ve replaced or had failures with lenses, power supplies and the LED..The case isn’t wearing well over saltwater…I don’t think these are the most robust lights…more Ford than Lincoln…I’m using a MXM and the Neptune app…slightly clunky interface between equipment universes
