I have calibration fluid that says to adjust to 35 ppt/1.3394. My meter reads @35ppt/1.025. So yes I am confused. Can I calibrate to o.ppt using distilled water ?

I’m sure it’s a 53.0 mS fluid (or 1.026 on our refractometers).
And by the way, the most accurate calibration is with this type of fluid….closest to what you want to read…..NOT RO/DI water….which reads zero.

No, do not use distilled water. You will be less accurate if you use distilled water. You want to calibrate at the point you want to test, 35ppt. If you are unsure about your reference solution, then get another one.

As I thought about this, Buckeye Field Supply is an RO/DI supplier. And now I'm thinking that calibration fluid you have is for TDS, NOT for a refractometer.
I would highly recommend tossing that and getting refractometer calibration fluid at 53 mS. HERE is an example from Premium Aquatics, but note that many retailers carry this stuff.
