I have a 75 gal up top and about another 20 in the sump. My total water volume is about 90g. I just threw away my old cheato as it didn't grow and was covered in algae. What other types of macro help with the removal of nutrients like cheato does?

Grape caulerpra works great

No

What type/color fuge light you have?

eBay or saltwater fish.com should have. If you’re local would be glad to give you some

Ulva. Grows on the surface. Grows very fast.

Have you tested your nutrients? If they aren't high enough to support chaeto, will another macro survive?

My ulva grows in P = .o5 N = 4

Not in the area but will see if i can get a stronger red or blue light and try cheato again. other wise might try red mangroves or grapes

We tend to see that if people have issues growing chaeto, they have no issue growing sea lettuce/ulva. Sea lettuce tends to be harder and grows faster.
