Algae generally require nitrate, phosphate, a little iron, magnesium and trace elements. The search for a ULNS environment will discourage them and the presence of large herbivorous fish may threaten them. Working to cultivate them somewhat offends the aims of achieving optimal parameters for corals, although they may coexist in the same tank system if the objectives of nutrient control are not extreme. Light (low and medium intensity) must also contain the proper spectrum to maintain them; red and green are required.

We get wild caught seahorses here in india, so thats the issue. Most dont live long..
