What Maintenance Did You Do Today?

Today isn't usually a maintenance day for me. But I started looking around and decided to get some things done. I did a water change, changed out my di resins, cleaned a filter sock, and checked the sump levels. What went on with your tank today?

I reef fluxed my 14g and fabricated some lids for my sump.

Water change and glass clean on my 20g. Also added two RFAs.

On my 425xl I did a full skimmer cleaning.

I just upgraded to a new A3 Apex after my A3 Apex Jr stopped connecting to wifi. I spent most of yesterday evening dragging all the programming over to the new one, cleaning up cables, and inputting the data from the last two weeks that didn’t get entered.

I followed that up with a water change, glass cleaning, refugium caddy cleaning (I have a AIO), testing, manual dosing followed by finalizing my DOS auto dosing setup.

I adjusted the height of my lights (not really maintenance) and scraped the front glass and the right and left glass. It was a bit of a pain on the sides, as I hadn’t done it in at least 6 weeks, maybe more.

Tested alk, made some top off, ran the magnetic over the glass. Chkd the sump and skimmer. Usual.

I built a back brace for my lights since I couldn't get them to hang level front to back and it worked out pretty well, and I did a small water change and changed out my reef diapers

Thats where I got mine. Those are just what I picked off my sponges before I washed them.

Removed some hydroids/aiptasia, did a water change, and moved a frag plug because my emerald crab was upset it was blocking entry to his favorite rock tunnel. He kept trying to pull the whole plug out.

This morning I checked alk. as I started dosing all for reef about 10 days ago and I’m still dialing it in, After work I scraped the glass and dealt with a vermetid snail.

Does trimming GHA count as maintenance?

Seriously, I serviced dosing containers, topped off multiple ATO reservoirs, did a once over of all tanks, and re-united a pair of clownfish that had been sent for counseling.

Cleaned my skimmers, topped off ato and opened up some Amazon boxes with new filter media, aquaclear hob filters, power heads and marine pure balls for two new 40 breeders fresh water I'm setting up. Cleaned a cascade 1500 canister filter getting it ready add to my Oscar tank.
