What makes a detonator mushroom?

Hey guys. So i have this orange rhodactis and i keep on seeing similarities with detonator mushrooms. When would u call it a detonator or is this actually one? I got it quartersized at my lfs for 15 bucks but im well aware they have no clue of corals.

Not sure what you mean by detonator mushroom, can you post a pic of one?
