just wondering what makes a t5 fixture good. I am working on a project and I am looking at 2 t5 fixtures. One is a no name 10 bulb and the other is 6 bulb tek light. The price is difference is about 110$. at least giesman has dimmable to justify price. Any way. Just wondering what makes them worth the extra cash. Thanks.

Ok so I am looking at getting the 10 bulb so I can take out center lights. So I can cut holes for my kessils. So I will be gutting ballast out. And mounting them externally. And replacing them with dimmable ballest. So really I should only be concerned about reflectors at this point.

As for performance, what makes a t5 fixture perform better is reflectors, cooling of the bulbs and overdriven ballist if your going to diy, everything else beside that (build quality, built in controller, auto temp monitoring) is just to make your life easyer (;
