What makes a tank a "lagoon reef"

I see the term in a lot of videos of tanks and was just wondering what it means. If its just the aquascaping style or?

To me, a lagoon tank is one that has the smallest dimension be it’s height. My next tank is 48X24 but is only 19” tall, which makes it a lagoon tank IMO. How someone aquascapes is up to them.

I think it’s most often referring to the dimensions of the tank but also could be the specific type of reef they are emulating, like a biotope etc.
