Does anyone know what this thing in the pic is? Saw it for the first time this morning. I have no idea what it is, where it came from or how to get rid of it if I need to.
I know when I pull the rock up it retracts and I can’t find it.

Thank for your help

Yikes, that looks like aptasis... It'll sting your zoas which it looks like it's already doing, I would pull that piece out quickly they aptasia multiply fast. Couple ways to remove aptasia hidden in a zoa colony look up aptasia x, lime juice something works or a majano wand (though overkill for only one)

The thing with the tentacles? It looks like a curlycue anemone or an aipstia.

I thought aptasia. But the tank has been up for 6 months and this frag has been in there for 5 months AND nothing new has gone in for the last three and half months.... so.. where did it come from? I don't know what a curlicue is; is it bad?

Anyway, in a couple of weeks this rock will be going into me new 25 lagoon setup. Obviously I don't want hichhikers from this tank. How do I get rid of it? Superglue over it maybe?
