Most of the sizes sold are between 1.5-2.5inch or 3.5-4.5inch would I be ok if I got a slightly larger one or should I only go about 0.5-1 inch bigger ?

Yeah i know the feeling. Had one of my favorite fish (red-lined wrasse) jump out last week through my feed port. Had him for over a year.
