I check my tank multiple times per evening. Always looking, always checking things out, as I am new to this. I have been through quite a lot. I have quarantined all corals that have gone into my tank while it has been running fallow from ick. I thought nothing tonight. All of the sudden, I looked over and saw that my Acan was shrinking up, which it never does. Then I saw the thing that doesn't look like it has a body, but is white with Beady black eyes!!!! What the crap is that!?? And then what do I do about it!?!?

Bahahahhahaha!! Yes! I did!!! Oh my goodness!! That's hilarious!!! I feel like an idiot...but I already lost a fish in QT having copper treatment tonight and have been through quite a bit. I just keep waiting for something to attack my corals.

I could cry I'm so relieved.

When I looked at the lower acan, I could've sworn it didn't look like it was coming out of his mouth. I have never seen a coral actually eat something that substantial to be able to visualize it. Pretty incredible now that I know that nothing is attacking my corals. @Diesel I will totally change my name to that if I can figure out how. I ride in a motorcycle group, and I earned the nickname bubbles there. I will go into that story another time. Only appropriate to have a nickname associated with my naivety. @dnyceli thank you for being smarter than me.

No problem dear. Glad I could help. Welcome to R2R. We have a lot of knowledgable people here. All you have too do is ask. I am not smarter than you. We are all here too learn. To be successful in this hobby you have too like researching and learning from other hobbyists experiences. I could relate to the stress you are experiencing because i'm sure we all went through it at one point or another. The ones who push on through the tough times become very successful in this hobby. Sorry to hear about your loss. I don't use chemical treatments to treat ich during my quarantine process. I use Tank Transfer Method and it has worked 100 percent of the time with no stress on the fish. unfortuanatley your display tank has too go 72 days with no fish to starve out the cryptocaryon. Take this time to build your aquascape or get corals and build your reef. corals are easier too feed also without fish trying too take the food from them. lol.

@melypr1985 and @Humblefish - I thought you would get a kick out of this thread given your following of me through all of my craziness with this tank. I may be just a tad over cautious now

It did look like a tiny alien getting eaten by the acan. lol I agree that it's mysis and I'm glad that's all it was. Thanks for the laugh ;)

Yes ma'am! I have already learned so very much! I will certainly be successful, and have gained a ton of knowledge - the hard way. I ask questions and research everything now. I have attained several corals and have been fallow for 76 days. I just added 2 baby clowns in the DT last week! So happy to see fish in it again. They are doing quite well. I didn't have the equipment to do a tank tansfer, but for the future, I will certianly keep that method in mind. I also didn't know about raising the levels of copper slightly before I bombed the tank with the instructions on the bottle . . . so . . .still over here learning . . . A LOT! Thanks for your help. I am still loving this, and am determined to do what I need to do to make this a success. :)

I'm a little late to the party, but my guess was going to be a miniature Johnny 5
