White patches are on both sides of her. We are thinking it looks like some kind of damage as well. She is a clumsy fish.
She is swimming and eating fine. I have only had her for 2 weeks. 90 gallon tank been running for 4 months. She is about 3 inches in length. She dies have her favorite rock she likes to get under. Husband said he saw her playing peek a boo with the coral beauty and bumping into the rock the day this showed up.Are the discolored areas on both sides of the fish or just the right side? It could just be a simple contusion from bumping into a rock - but think about this; coral reefs are these fish's normal homes. They are well adapted to NOT run into rocks, and you really never see these sorts of marks on fish in the wild. That means, when they show up on captive fish, you need to watch them closely, in case something else is going on.She is swimming and eating fine. Sorry to hear. As I said, it looked like something more than a simple injury. You need to consider damage control if there are other fish in the tank in case what the tang had was contagious. What was the progression of the symptoms since last week?Well she didn't make it unfortunately.
