What pH controller for my dual chamber calRx?

I have a Reef Octopus SROcr5000d dual chamber calcium reactor. I was wondering what controller you guys use? Have not decided on apex yet so I'm talking about standalone controllers. I'm thinking the green Milwaukee that does pH and ORP? Or just the white one that does pH alone. In your opinion why would i want one over the other..Also, do I need a second pH probe in my second chamber? Should that chamber be monitored in any way?

I would stick with the pH only. I don't know of a lot of reasons to monitor orp unless you are worried about dead animals in your DT. There are other uses for it but for the average reefer, I think it unnecessary. Add to that the additional cost of replacing the probes... You do not need a second pH probe in the second chamber. It is just not necessary to monitor that chamber.

The white pH only controller is what you need. ORP is useless, even for above-average reefers (well, unless you run ozone). I’ve had the older Milwaukee pH controller (when it too was green) for decades and it’s been rock solid. You have to replace the probe periodically of course.
