What plumbing size should I use ??

OK I just purchased a Marineland 75 gallon with a corner overflow it has 1 inch piping I believe. And I have a Bashsea sump and it 1.5 inch pipes. So should I use a 1 or a 1.5 inch pipe what are y’all think ???

I’d go with 1”
You’ll have no problem with that

1" will be good, especially for the drain. Size up if you can on the return, it will be easier on your return pump, and even potentially allow you to downsize your pump over what you would need with 1" pipe.

I use 1” drains with a ball valve and 3/4” return. Ecotech Vectra S2 set at only 52%.
