Hey all!

needing to add a powerhead to my tank to get movement on the bottom half of my tank.

what kind should I get that wont break the bank and what size?

can you reduce the speed of bigger ones if its too much?

Currently I have my return flow aimed to the topish half of the tank and one of the return flows pointed straight up to agitate the top of the water.

If budget isn't an issue, you could go with a Vortech MP-10 or an AI Nero 5. If you're trying to be budget conscious, I'd recommend a Jebao OW-10 or maybe OW-25.
thanks! ill check them out

I was hoping these current UDA eFlux ones would be good since it would tie into the LOOP system that my lights are one but the reviews are really bad. hopefully they can get the issues corrected.

anyone have good experience with these/

Jebao sow8....

Little pump, but powerfull, i have 2 on 500l, and one is dialed down to 30%, too much flow for softies and lps.....

What size tank are we talking about here ?

I don't have any experience with that model but it looks like Jebao's knock-off version of the Nero. That's kind of their MO though, they "borrow" designs from other manufacturer's and make them cheaper. They typically don't last as long as their higher priced counterparts but at the price-point I find it's reasonable if you can get at least a year or two out of them.
