My tank will have a few sps but mostly lps and soft corals. Im looking to buy from hydro, tunze, and maybe ecotech. I would like to run two powerheads on each side of the tank. Any info will help.

Following as I'm looking for the same thing but I keep mostly sps with some lps. I was thinking of going with Jebao. Just don't know which ones to get. I have one mp40 and a maxijet in my 40 breeder now. The mp40 is too much flow and the maxijets don't seem to last long for me.

ecotech vortechs have a much broader range of flow, compared to the equivalent GPH of a similar size jebao, granted you save $100's. Having 2 MP10W's would be great. Jebao pp-4 and ecotech MP10's are about the same GPH, good to try instead if theres a budget involved. IDK much about the maxspect gyre, except ive heard and seen good things in tanks around 40g's with one pump circulating entire tank. my 2 cents.

I like the ecotech mp10 but it kind of out of my price range the other powerhead that I was looking at were koralia 565, tunze 6015, and tunze 6055

hello every one.. im currently in my build of a 80 gallon tank "first reef tank ever"
and im wondering if i should put 2 eco tech 10 power heads on each side or go with 1 40 on each side?

hello everyone.
im currently building my first 80 gallon mixed reef tank. and im wondering. should i go with 2 eco tec 10s on each side or 1 eco tech 40 on each side?
i kinda like the idea of 2 on each side as it will give me a wider flow more like a maxspec gyre

Mp10s with a reeflink would be my vote

Tunze 6040 would be my vote. Way more reliable than Ecotech and you will get nice flow for the corals. Also as your coral grows you can redirect the flow if needed. You aren’t stuck with a stationary puck on the glass.

I went with 2 tunze 6015s and 2 6025s for now. They're well made pumps, run quiet and put off nice flow for the corals. I like that they can be aimed. That's the reason I picked these over vortechs. I'll probably have to upgrade once corals start growing out though.

The koralia 565 is not strong enough imo. You would need at least 4 of them 2 on each end. Even that might not be enough.
I have 3 in a 20.
