So I've been thinking a lot and talking a lot on the forums with people about different fish I can add to my tank after all the suggestions I've come to the conclusion that I really don't like most of the none predator fish.

So here is my question I have a snowflake eel and 2 Mocha goldfish, those are the ones I care about those are the ones I've named the clowns are about an inch and a half to two inches big. What predators will not eat them. I have a 55 fish only tank.

I know I want a dwarf lion fish but what are some other cool predators that will fit in my tank.

Ps. I have two small blur and green Chromis there time is limit ether way the snowflake is gonna get big and eat them so. I mean it's a fish eat fish world right

Puffers but RIP shrimp/crabs/Feather dusters/clams. They may nip on fish fins. I don't get what you mean by "I have a snowflake eel and 2 mocha gold fish" dwarf golden eel, fu Manchu lion, waspfish could work.

Ok so the snowflake will most likely eat the clowns and Chromis when it gets larger. IMO I would get sell, give away, or set up a nano for the clownfish and get some nice predators. Wartskin frogfish, golden dwarf moray, fuzzy dwarf lion, fu Manchu lion, wasp fish, and a Puffer would be great in a 55 gallon if your skimmer/filtration can keep up.

Snowflakes aren't too predatory toward fish, unless it's new fish being added to the tank. Snowflakes are more of an invert eater.

I would wait for the clown s to get full sized before adding a fuzzy dwarf lion.

A fu manchu will work as well, so will a leaffish, waspfish, maybe a hamlet when the clowns are full grown.

If you are going to do a lionfish, then I would be reluctant to recommend a puffer, do to their nippiness of other fish's long fins.

How long does it take for clowns to become full grown. I'm not trying to wait a full year it add to this tank.

Snowflake eels tend to be aggressive when there is food in the water. Since they have poor eyesight, they could easily mistake a chromis for a silverside :(

It doesn't happen that often. They're pretty good at honing in on the food with their other senses.

I think i'm gonna take the advice of setting up a 20gallon nano tank for the clowns and chromis. Bulkreef supply has a great tank for 400 that includes filtration and lights. then all i'll need is sand rock and a bottle of dr. tims.

Most aggressive fish are also poisonus too

There is a marked difference between poisonous and venomous. Lionfish, waspfish, and leaffish are venomous. They have venom in their dorsal spines. Puffers, cowfish, and soapfish are poisonous and only dangerous if you eat them.

Also venomous is used to refer to something that has a means of intentionally injecting the toxin into its target, whereas poisonous has to be ingested or otherwise enter the body without aids from the animal. Sorry just a pet peeve of mine lol and speaking in general not directed at you.

Good to know ty:)
