I've recently come across a second hand set of BRS Dual Reactors and was wondering what was my quietest option for a pump? What pump do you use for your reactors?

Sicce 1.5 is what I’m running. Easy to clean and silent. They also recommend the Cobalt MJ1200 which I started with and is also silent I just feel I had better flow with the Sicce 1.5.

I now run mine off a manifold, but when I first set it up I was using the Cobalt MJ1200. Buying used, you should have gotten a valve on the IN line, that for me, I had to meter down, because the pump was too strong.

This is what I've created. This'll work fine yea? I liked the clean look on the exterior of the stand so I went this route

I also run mine off of a manifold, powered by an EcoTech L1. I used to run it from a trusty ole' MJ1200.

I have a single BRS reactor that came with the MJ1200 and I think it is a little underpowered when running a mix of GAC/GFO. After a few days I need to run it almost wide open. I think the Sicci 1.5 would be better as long as you have a valve to regulate it.

Using the return pump with multiple outlets ;)
Thanks haha! I did mine completely seperate from my return. I liked the idea of it being separate completely and I'm not quite sure why. I coulda just ran a 'manifold' and I would save a lot of money. But that would be too easy right?

Here’s my Carbon reactor. I was running it originally off a Marineland 1200 powerhead pump. But now have it plumbed into the manifold. The manifold is that group of valves on the back wall.

I have it mounted on 80/20 15s extruded aluminum. When I want another I have room to add it.
