I was just wondering what pumps are being used to mix saltwater. I do a 15- 20 gallon wc weekly and have a 33 gallon blue barrel. Basically mix and pump water into buckets for wc. RO/DI goes straight into barrel with float valve. Any answers or ideas greatly appreciated.

I just use a 55g barrel, and have a 800gph powerhead in it. Then I have a 3500gph medical grade water pump to pump the water from the garage to the tank in the living room.

30 gallon Brute with a Koralia 4 and Koralia 8.

30g x-tall aquarium with a Mag-5 for mixing. Drilled and gravity fed to the sump for WC's

I use a 35 gal tote from walmart and a 1500 gph utility pump from lowes for 20gallon by-weekly change

35 gal blue barrel with a pan world p100xx pump. Valved for mixing and pumping back to my tant. Also vaved on t he suction side of pump to drain dt.

I have an Aqueon QuietFlow pump (up to 449 gph) sitting on the bottom of a Brute can which I use to mix and pump into my tank.

Whatever I've got laying around, but typically a MJ 1200 - inexpensive and does the job. when it's done stick a piece of 1/2" I.D. tubing on the output and you can pump it into your tank.

My water station is two 65 gal vats and one 35. All plumbed together and with the medical version of an Iwaki 100. One 65 is for ro, other for salt and the 35 is for gavity feed top off. With this pump I can move ro to salt vat in a couple minutes, move water anywhere in the fish room, or fill 5 gal buckets up stairs 100' away for a frag swap. Got the pump on ebay for $20 shipped.
if you go looking for one, search entire site. Iwaki, Pan world and Little Giant get used in medical and fluid cooling applications regularly

Two 35g brute cans, one for r/o one for salt. R/o has an old red sea skimmer pump for pumping water across the hall to the salt bucket or into 5g buckets for topoff. Salt mix bucket has two 3/4" bulkheads, a pan world px70 which feeds a 3 way pvc manifold. The pump returns from the manifold, into a bulkhead with a vortex eductor pointed at the bottom of the bucket. Other two returns are for an over the side outlet for aeration and filling buckets, other feeds a removable 1/2" silicone hose for pumping water upstairs into the tanks.

Eductor works pretty well though, it replaced a waveline 12000 that was in there before.
