What Return Pump are you running and why.

I am running an EcoTech Vectra M1 and a Sicce SDC 9.0....My main is the M1 with the Sicce as my plumbed in back up. I do alternate between the 2 to ensure growth does not foul the impeller etc...on the stationary pump, and honestly cannot find flaw in either (yet)...both are quiet, controllable and do what I need of them in my 255g tank.

Eheim 1262. Because my first Eheim 1260 that I ran i under my 75 gallon is still running strong under my frag tank 11 years later, and the 1262 that I run under my display is still going strong after 6 1/2 years. Rock solid reliability.

Sicce silent 4 because of the great reviews, cost and dependability of AC pumps. Mines only been running for 2 weeks, bu I expect several years worth of service.

I agree. Im not into the WiFi stuff cause I dont care for a return pump. I expect to turn it on and forget. And that exactly what i am getting from this pump. Dead silent, little if any heat transfer, little energy draw.

I was with a friend thats a biomedical engineer at MACNA New Orleans and we spoke to their engineer and their thought process into the engineering of this pump was everything you want in a pump.

That's very cool I missed that MACNA due to a work issue and I had tickets and everything booked.

I just plumbed a Varios 4 last weekend. So far so good. Checked by unplugging and back and started back up after some sort of built in delay. Tank temp dropped a bit this week. Probably pick up a 6 also if this does well for a while. LFS said the few they've sold have been rock solid.

That's awesome. I like hearing about the Varios pumps. Seems like more people use them then I had thought.

Sicce SDC 9.0, it’s been great so far. Very easy to clean. I had Iwaki before, power hog, loud, and not submersible. Not that submersible is hugely important day-to-day, but it’s nice to throw a pump in a bucket of vinegar and water and let it clean itself, just easier. And they disassemble in less than 10 seconds with no tools. I had two Vectra M1s, one pump died (was replaced), and two power adapters died, so they are now backups to the Sicce, they are not trusted.

Sicce makes a good pump! Another Sicce user in the house! I had used Sicce on a couple past tanks plus Planet Aquarium includes with the crystalline tanks they build.

Current eflux dc 1050 gph on my 40b.
Controllable through bluetooth and silent.

I turn off when doing maintenance in the sump or a water change.

15 years!!! Now, that's impressive! MAG makes a solid pump I said it before on this thread but I'll say it again. I use one for my mixing station and that same pump pushes water through a water hose upstairs to my wife's 65 gallon tank when I do water changes. I absolutely love the fact that you can connect a water hose to it. The garage to the upstairs is a long way!

My eheim 1262 is on it's 12th year of 24/7 operation. When it does die I might consider going dc but I'm just as likely to replace it with an identical pump. The only feature that is important to me in a return is reliability.

I'm running a COR20. I wanted the Apex Compatibility most of all, low power usage and something dead quiet. It fits all 3. I run it on a 180 and 30g connected to a shared sump. I also run a manifold to a few reactors. Previously I had a M1.

That's freaking awesome thanks for sharing. I was so close to buying that same pump for my 180. I couldn't find enough reviews on it and ended up going with the Varios. I wish had seen your video.

Eheim 1262. I've had this pump for over 12 years. It's been cleaned maybe 6 times during that time. It's been in service almost continuously since I've had it, and it's never failed to start after power outages or water changes or anything. Absolutely bullet proof pumps.

Waveline DC6000 (1st gen) on my 75g; got it in trade for another tank. Has worked great the past two years (knock on wood). Have a Reeflo Snapper/Dart for the 150g.

Currently running a VarioS 6 on each of two 100g tanks. Very happy with them so far; great consistent flow, lots of features, Apex integration is a snap. Thought about the Cor but really don't see a good reason to change from these. Previous had Jebao pumps, not super happy with those, had premature rust issues, probably fixed in a redesign since I had mine but still.

Sicce Syncra 3.5. It had the gph I was looking for after the head loss was accounted for, has a good price point, and I could buy it locally.
