Hey everyone!
So I am setting up a 57 gallon rimless and I want to buy some rock and cement it together to make a cool aquascape
Here are my options please let me know what you think.
1. Buy all live rock and cement together. Let it set for a day. But with letting it set there will be a huge ammonia spike from all the die off and then ride it out Until levels are stable. And then put corals and fish in it.
Or
2. Buy dry rock. Cement together. Let it set for a day then put in tank. Let it run a day with water. Then put in live rock I have and fish and corals. Do a water change a couple days later. Then good
Ha I guess the biggest thing I'm worried about is all the die off from option 1. I guess I could keep it wet during the cement setting process and try to minimilize die off.
Also suggestions on dry rock??? I know I'll buy manado live rock from premium aquatics if I go that route.
Thanks!
