Today I came home and found 2 kessils out ..I trouble shot them and one has no blue channel. The other one is shot ..I have a 400 gallon which is 7 ft x 3 ft x32 high .right now I have 8 kessils a360w .and 6 -80 watt t5 .I've been running this setup for along time now and I'm happy with my tank .I would consider switching to radions gen xr15 pros .but I couldn't do that all at once .do I start to convert over to the radions and pick 2 of them up for now with a reef link. I can use them in the center and as the kessils go or I hit the lotto I can slowly add to them instead of buying more kessils .because .the way my lighting is set up the xr15 would be more beneficial than xr30 ....what do I do what do I do .....help ?

Have you considered DIY? I had the same thing happen with my kessils and those were 400 bucks a pop when I bought them. One was covered under warranty but eventually they both failed. Liked them but decided it was too expensive. Just posted on another thread about this but for about 500 bucks I was able to put 4 led cons and two 4 foot t5’s all dimmable on my tank. BRS for the T5’s and rapid led for the leds. Clean good looking setup and easy to install. What’s great about the LEDs is of one burns out you can just replace it for 22 bucks. But haven’t heard of the guy who showed me how to do it ever having a problem and he’s had his going for years. Par meter is giving me 500 under the surface 200 on the bottom glass. He’s doing a 560 gallon build right now and put them on his tank. He has an amazing Sps tank. Just an idea to save some money. Good luck!

I just went to Rapid Led's site, and they look like they have converted to pretty much 100% horticulture LEDs, except for the small aquarium fixture, Corona. I am not sure when that happened.

If I had your tank I’d do halides.
I used to have halides but the bulbs will soon be harder to find
And its kindda old school I feel .they def are great lights though
.I just feel like all the growers are using radions it has to be something to think about if they are all using them
