I know there are several articles out there that talk about different kind of salts to use in reef aquariums. I can't find them right now.

Can someone point me in what direction to go to find the post?

Started with seachem reef salt, ventured off trying different brands. Ended up back with reef salt. Everything looks happy. Think ill stay with it.

Instant Ocean Reef Salt
New to the hobby, 125G DT 45G SUMP w/ 5 fish and 15 frags. Everything is thriving well, will keep using it.

I guess I am curious to find the posting that shows the difference between them all...

Anyone know where that is at?

IO reef crystals. . I've been curious about switching (maybe to salinity or red sea coral pro). Nothing available local except IO RC so I'll probably stay with it. Maybe switch for my next tank.

I think it depends where you keep your levels. If you run a high dkh then find a brand that mixes up high. If you keep closer to nsw then find something with lower. IORC for me I could never get it to mix clear and always had salt flakes going in tank that is nono for me. I find seachem to mix up the clearest and has the closest levels to what I maintain.

I switched from IO/RC to NeoMarine because of the parameters of each batch on the bucket. Plus RC always mixed up cloudy or flaky, leaving a strange tan crust on my pumps and heater.
I like that NM mixes up clear in very little time and test consistently spot on parameters that I want.
Also, a 160g bucket if RC actually is only 160g if you mix at 1.020-1.021. I like to get 150g out if a 150g bucket if NM mixed at 1.025.

No idea my friend maybe the salt I got was old or something but every time I used it always had salt flakes going in tank. And the levels are way higher than I run. Was a easy choice.

I use coralife for the past 2 years now everything looks good. 50 gallon bag for $14.99-15.99 local.
Can't believe this. IMO corallife salt is the worst on the market. There's no way I'd ever use it again. I had serious problems with it and finally tested it and it was high in phosphates.

I have used Kent, D - D, Brightwell, now im using aquavitro salinity and like it a lot
