I have a Maxspect L165 I use on one of my refugiums. I use 100% red, 30% green and 15 % blue which I read is a good setting for Chaeto. On my other tank I use a Nicrew Hyper Reef 30 and I keep it on high white whch I prefer. What setting are you using your Maxspect Jump at on Macro if you are? I don't know what setting to use on the Maxspect to get it to look white and there are no pre programmed settings for algae. I read blue actually can stifle Macro Algae.

Where did you read that blue can stifle macroalgae?

I don't think the colors will matter as much, but most "plant" lights are blue/violet and red. If it were me, I'd focus more on the par so you don't over light the macro. I don't have this light specifically, but have used other customizable lights like the primes over refugiums.

I read somehwere that too much blue can stifle macro algae. I think it was the same article I read to only use 15% blue if you have a light that you can adjust for Macro.
