Could be another fish chewing on his fins?
I don’t believe so, because it’s a 20 gallon and the only other fish in there is a clownfish and that clownfish also have a little chunk off as well, I also have pep shrimp but idt they would nip fins but idk

Looks like the same bite markings my firefish had from a clownfish he was stocked with at the store. I would suggest QT until he heals. General cure/Furan-2 dosing if you're concerned its fin rot. Though I strongly suspect these injuries are caused by your fish nipping each other.

hi please post pics of other fish.

watch closely, any sings of disease come back, poss move a couple of rocks around to distract for a day or two

How do I get rid of aggression?
Generally, stocking more aggressive fish after the peaceful ones have been established. Separation into different tanks or otherwise removing the aggressive fish are most common from what I've seen here
+1 on moving rocks to "reset" territory aggression

One of my clowns got in a fight with my royal gramma and the royal gramma didn't make it... Since then I've added a fairy wrasse, and a pair of cardinals and after 10 days everybody is a happy camper. So you just never know. They can be chill one day and then fight the next.
