The metal clamp used to secure pipe that connects to return pipe is rusting already. Is there another option to fix this? I heard you could replace it with a hard plastic one but it will not be as secure as the steel/aluminum one. What are your using on your tank? Should I be worried if rust is getting the the water?

What are you using? Does your rust?

I never had a reason to use a hose clamp in the water, but 316 stainless is OK. I used two float switches with 316 stainless arms for 20 years.

304 stainless smay not be good enough, so just "stainless steel" is not necessarily adequate,

Ok think I might get those. What size do I get?

What is the OD of your hoses? Get one large enough plus just a tad more and you should be golden... or is it Titanium? lol

Edit: I don't have clamps on my return pump hoses at all. That said, I have twice had the hose pop off of one of my return pumps (same one both times). I may invest in a couple of these myself.

Thanks for the tip @Gill the 3rd

Idk what my OD of the hose is. I think I might get the titanium clamp.

Simple pimple.. get a ruler or tape measure and measure across the width... You need the diameter, not the circumference. I'm willing to bet 1 inch to 1 1/4 inch

Stainless steel won’t rust

Nice you use plastic. How does that hold up? Any problems with it breaking?
Clamps tightly and zero issues with not releasing or falling apart
