I had a Sleeper Gold Head Goby in my tank which I bought on Sunday and it jumped because there was just a little crack on the sides. This is a brs lid and I just ordered a new ai mount but this one pipe in my overflow box is pushing the lid up.
Any sponsors for a 14 year old reefer.

Your return nozzle ? Or the overflow drain

I think it is drain

I gotcha now, the one on the left is the drain. The hole in the top is for emergency drain, if the other part gets clogged the water can still drain thru that “hole” but your hole looks to be pretty small. Might try to bore it out a bit and get it 1/4-1/2” in diameter, should also help with noise. Also if the drain sits above the water line it isn’t really doing much cause you’ll overflow before the drain starts working. Is there extra PVC that is below that inlet for the drain? Like right at the bottom of the tank, you could cut 2-3” from it and then stick the pipe back in, or cut it halfway and get ya a Union joint so u can remove and clean the top.

I am sorry about your fishy, it is hard to lose a member of the family which these sea creatures all quickly become. Get ur drain to sit a little lower and you’ll kill 2 birds 1 stone. It is a very nice looking tank, keep it up :)

Now looking at it closer it might just be an air inlet so u don’t get tons of noise. Either way if that is only overflow then if it gets clogged u could have issue, so I stand by my statement might wanna hollow that bad dude out a bit

Ok I will see what I can do because I am am not good with that kind of stuff
Get ya a pair of PVC cutters from Menards. Turn the return pump off and pull it out, cut the PVC stick it back in and turn return back on
