Personally, wouldn't want to spend any money on it (like for coral light) so I'd go small/cheap inverts that I thought looked cool but don't want in my main tank,,, just for fun:
Crabs, asterina/aquilanastra stars,,, maybe pest anemones, etc.

If you went freshwater you could easily do a tiny planted tank with less of a lighting requirement and do some awesome little colorful

shrimp.
