Situation: (Seriousness please)

My Fiancee' is in our home in another state at the moment. She wants me to come home this weekend and spend time with her before I leave for my 5 months training on January 6 in which I am suppose to be taking my nano tank with me. I do have free flyer miles but I wont be able to take the tank with me on the plane and it would cost more to ship it to me at my training site with funds I don't have at the moment due to Christmas shopping and bills. If I drive to her, then I can simply pack the tank with me but when it's time to go to the 5 months training then I would have to fly and yet again the tank wont be able to fly with me.

I am leaning towards just selling everything and starting a new at the training site but I am trying to see if there are any alternatives you guys can come up with.

(Giving up my fiancee' is not an option - For you funny people)

show her how to take care of the tank and let it go for the 5 months. get a small 5-10 gal, (something easy to sell after dune) at training site and dont go to crazy with it.

I would have a week to 8 days to show her how to take care a reef tank.......The tank is a 10g tank but it has coral species with special needs that a beginner won't know what to do. The tank I purchase at the training site will be a nano as well or I should just wait till I am completely done.

Thanks for the reply.

how stacked is the tank!? possibly pay for an aquarium service for the next few months?
or just tell her the necessities.
It has several sps, an anemone, and several zoas and lps. I don't have the funds at the moment for aquarium services as I stated above. I would have just paid to ship everything to me.

I will just sell everything. It seems there is no other solution but to get rid of everything. Thanks for the responses.

Do you have reefer friend's that can hold on to the tank for you? If I was in your area then I would gladly hold onto your tank for you and keep her running.

The only buddy I had that is a reefer got out the hobby due to his profession. So he won't be able to look after the tank. I decided to just sell everything and start fresh next year after training instead of during training.
