Hi all,

I am currently on day 25 of therapeutic copper level. Yesterday, i found my flame angel having a REALLY long stringy poo. It was different colors and mainly white. What should i do? Wait another five days to start GC? Or should i start it now?

This should help in telling you what to do. I would suggest Praxipro but what ever you have at this time.

Hey Khwee,

Really long WHITE stringy poop is a n indicator of internal parasites. You can start with your GC soaked foods right away and continue feeding them for one of their meals everyday for 2 weeks. You can also do food soaked Fenbendazole as that seems to really help. (I like it more then the GC in my personal experance)

Hope that helps!!

Theyre in QT now.... can i just dump the GC powder in there? Will it have the same effect?

Better to feed them the GC or Fenbendazole. If that’s a problem then Prazipro it is but some fish don’t react well to that stuff even though it’s “reef safe”. I’ve lost healthy fish after giving them Prazi which was devastating considering they already went through copper power safely.

No you will want to food soak the medications. if you do they will drink some of the medication but not really enough to make much of a difference. Prazipro is for Flukes so you will want to go with either the GC or the Fenbendizole. You can find information on how to do the food soaking here:
