hello
I have a some what mixed reef tank with mainly euphyllia corals (6) some zoa, open brain coral(dying) favia coral, sunset monti and monti cap. I'd like to add new corals but I want to know before I do what's the most important thing to focus on. I was doing two part manual dosing with b ionic but stopped because I felt like I was chasing numbers around. I realized that without dosing, my parameters were some what descent and are stable. What I'd like from my corals wound be nice coloration and growth. What advice could I be given from you all as far as what is the most important thing to focus on? I've seen zeovit systems out there and korallen coral systems too, which seem to focus on trace elements. So before I go and start playing with other additives and dumping more into the tank I'd like to know if it's even worth the money and time. Is there something that seems to help coloration and growth regardless if there are other things that are not what they should be? All my fish seem happy, active and feeding very well.
I have a 75 gallon Red Sea reefer. My filtration system consists of bubble magus curve7, an algae scrubber, about 75 pounds of live rock in the dt and sump and live sand. I use brs rox 8 carbon in a media bag placed in my sump. Ive been using Red Sea coral pro salt for about 3 weeks now. I mix with ro/di water.

I'm hoping my question makes sense if not please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

IMO, its most important to focus on alkalinity. Yours is currently fine.

Do you have any algae issues?

Nutrients are a bit higher than optimal, and that may lead to slight browning of corals.

Forgive te off topic question. Is that some kind of cooling dedvice in your sump? I'm in 100 degree texas an having trouble gettig under 80 degrees, house is at 74 , old tank was in same spot and had no trouble getting 77/78.
