So, I have a 125 gallon tank (standard 6ft), currently fowler but in the process of going reef. I would like to do mixed reef. I recently put 4 Kessil A360X's on the tank. I want to supplement them for better coverage. I see a lot of people supplement them with T5's. I thought about buying some retrofit kits but there aren't any 6ft kits that I can find. I also thought about buying some reefbrite strips, but they are kind of pricey. Which would you choose? Or is there another option that I am not seeing? Thanks.

I have a 6ft tank and supplemented my Hydra 26's with t5's. I used the 5 foot retrofit kit with 2 blue plus bulbs. Im getting 500-600 par 12 inches down..

This is about as long as you're going to find @ 5'. I run a 60" fixture over my 6' tank, really you're not going to need high light 6" near your sides, so its going to be fine.

Edit: Just saw that these are not compatible with the 360X. Might have to find or build your own mounting hardware for them?

I use an aquaticlife t5 hybrid on my 180. It’s 5 ft long fixture on a 6 ft tank, but I get good coverage on the sides. It’s only 6” short on each side.

There is a separate mounting bracket available for the 360x. Identical to what's included but with a slightly larger cutout. This plus your Kessils would be pretty amazing. Throw in a couple of blue plus and coral plus bulbs and forget it.

Care to share a pic of how you mounted them? Wanna do the same with my ap700s x2 but unsure how to without making it look ugly.

And I wish I could use aquaticlife 60" dx18 but the mounting options just wont work for various reasons.

Id like to keep using my ap700 arms if possible

Mine is in a canopy. Probably won’t help you, but here it is:

not sure you will need more coverage than 4 kessil 360 for a 72x18 footprint. you can always modify later if need be.
I have 2 K350s on a 48x18 and its plenty. i have corals at every corner of the tank without issue.

Yeah hard to tell with a canopy. It would help more if I could see the actual retrofits/reflector. How heavy are they and do you think it would be light enough to utilize the ap700 arms that mount to my 1/2" glass?
