I would like some suggestions on what size heater or heater and brand should I go with for a Waterbox 220.6 tank. I live in Wildomar,CA but during winter months it does get chili. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For 220 id probly have two 300w heaters on each corner.

For my 135 i use two 200w heaters on each corner. But thats just me. I actually unplugged them because my 60watts of uv heats the tank up to 80f without a heater. As it runs 24/7

Depends more so on your temp split. Someone (like me) that keeps my house cool in the winter usually 60-63 deg, and having to keep my tank around 75-76 has a much higher heater need that if I kept it at 72 deg. You can use this as a starting point.

(Tank temp - House temp) ÷ 10) × Total water volume × 3
*last number is Watts. Since I have a higher split, I go with 5, but 3 is a good starting point if you are less than 10deg
(76 − 63) ÷ 10) × 175 × 5 = 1100+ watts needed

(76 − 70) ÷ 10) × 175 × 3 = 315 watts needed so probably 2 150W
I'll probably go with 2 500s and a backup 300 or two which probably will be last years old ones around on standby if needed. Since I have an Apex I'll get notified. If I didn't I'd probably run 4X 300w on 2 separate Inkbirds

to salt is life's point, always make sure you use multiple heaters adding up to the wattage you need rather than one jumbo heater to ensure continued heating even if one of them breaks down.

I have an Apex as well.

Appreciate the formula. I am in Florida and up until now, my sump is in my garage - thus I have never required a heater. The new build will be relocating the sump to the living room, which is typically 73-75. The tank now stays at an even 78 balancing the AC with the garage. Given how minimal I need to raise the temperature, I'm debating whether I should just put a UV sterilizer on the new build and kill two birds with one stone.

Personally, I'd still get a heater. You may come across times when you don't want to run the UV and need to offset that thermal gain. Also not knowing how much that UV would be able to offset the temp difference you are talking about.
