Hi Reefers,

This might seem like an odd request, but hear me out!

I am using ozone on my system, and so far i am seeing good results still tweaking away getting it all just right.

I am using an air pump of unknown capacity to supply the Ozone generator as below and so far it works well. Skimmer doesn't seem starved of air in any way, however i was wondering if there is any anecdotal evidence in this regard.

Air pump -> Dryer (Silica gel) -> Ozone Generator -> Skimmer venturi.

Cheers,

Maybe a air flow meter would get the data you want?

I'm not sure what flow range you would need but they are available in several. I would start by checking the skimmer draw on its own to get a baseline. Then install it in your system between the OZ generator and the skimmer and adjust to match.

That's not a half bad idea, didn't even think about that! Don't get me wrong, the skimmer is doing fine just now so I don't really have an issue! It is just one of those odd things you think about when you work on a ship for months at a time with too much time on your own :face-with-tears-of-joy:
