I have a Fluval Flex 15G tank with a built in sump. I have a 1” sandbed and about a 10-20lb live rock arch. The clownfish pair have been fine off of just the return pump’s flow. But I just got a new light and want to get some soft and lps corals, specifically zoas and duncans.

How many GPH should I be looking for? Where should I place the pump and should I aim it up or down?

Look at sicce 1.0 and 1.5
Very quiet and good delivery

I would place it opposite of the return to create turbulence in the tank

The Sicce 1 & 1.5 are return pumps, and you're looking for a powerhead, yes?

In general, I would recommend a small powerhead on the side about 2/3rds up the glass angled upward to the surface. Something like a Tunze 6015 would work well, but you have lots of options depending on features and budget.
