Thanks alot im just going to et rid of the Y setup i think1/2 inch to connect to the main output.
If you keep the "Y" setup then I believe they drop down to 1/4 inch. I find the 1/4 outlets really restricted flow, so I went for the single 1/2 rfg.
I have upgraded the pump aswell to enhiem 1000 its so powerful i had to take my power head out as was blowing everything aboutI recently switched over to having two 1/4 outlets and can confirm that you definitely lose the random aspect of the flow. I will shortly swap back to a single 1/2" outlet which worked well. You need a high output pump for these to work correctly and I doubt the stock pump will cut it.
I don't have a separate powerhead in my evo and everything seems to be doing fine. I did upgrade the the eheim 1000 and a random flow generator though.Any progress on this? I'd like to add some random flow to my fluval evo and I don't think it's necessary to add powerhead

Do either of these pumps fit in with the stock connector, or will I need to use some type of flexible tubing to set it up?Sicce 1.0 and 2x 1/4” RFG. It’s pretty common for no powerheads
Cool! I have a barebottom so no issue there. Can you link me to a RFG that would fit? I can only find some with the loc-line that screws in, and I don't think that's what I'm looking forSicce is stock tubing and connectors. It’s high flow though so no fine sand
