what size return pipe

What is the standard for the size return pipe to use. I have read to use 1 inch on 150gal and up and 3/4 inch below that. what does everyone use. I use 3/4 on my 180. It has me thinking of changing the size.

Depends on how much water you're pushing 3/4 inch PVC, on average, can handle around 1,300 to 1,400 gph

I use 3/4 on mine running around 650-700 gph

It also depends on the pump you’re using.

Going by the chart i should be using 1/2 pipe. I will be updating my pump with in a week.
