what size return pump 180g?

180g duel corner overflow with 1 1/2 in pipe in the corner overflow turns to 1in and 1in for the return,
my lfs told me I need 2400 pump no way this water is booking in the sump. So what size do I need 1200, or 1800 thanks.

I would do the 1800 or even higher if you can swing it. The rule of thumb is 9 times per hour, but I am a big believer of 10 times or more per hour.

it is up to you....you want to get the water circulated fairly quick so that the suspended particles in the water get filtered to the sump.
