Was wondering what size sand do you guys use in your reef tanks? Also how deep of a sand bed do you guys have? I know sugar fine sand can cause problems. Thanks

Sand size all depends on what you want to keep. Sand sifting/sleeping fish would want a finer grade. Not interested in them? Then a larger grade would be fine. Then again, you could also go bare bottom as well.

Oh and I used CaribSea Ocean's Direct original for my tank.

I vote fine, keep detritus from getting in between

My favorite is Nature's Ocean #4 . Stays white, large particle size so it doesn't move even in the highest flow. Using a 3/4" bed in my display.

Well I would like some sand sifting fish. What’s everyone think about caribsea argonite or super naturals? I was looking at using one of them, I can get a decent deal on the sand if I use one of those.
