My tank is a 37 gallon and I've been researching but couldn't find a way to choose a correct size or model for a sump. Any suggestions?

What dimension is your stand. That's hoping to strongly negate what size sump you get. Also what is your budget

Usually I say as big as you can fit. There's no real set rule. A 15 to 20 gallon sump would probably do just fine for a tank that size. Some guys with tanks around that size probably have suggestions. How big is the stand?

My stand is 3.5 feet tall by 2 feet wide and its loose but i'm trying to keep it under 250

The stand is only 12" wide?

Welcome to Reef2Reef btw!
yeah my dad convinced me to buy it used it was originally a fresh tank and the guy I bought it from lied to me and said it was different and I couldn't tell from pictures. :/ its a nightmare to stock and clean

The trigger crystal 30 would probably be a good choice for that size and budget, but it may not fit? You could make your own for less money, if you like to diy! Plenty of guys here have done so and could give some help. The 12" may be an issue though as I think a lot of tanks in that size range are 12.5".

okay thanks :) ill look into it I could've just measured my stand wrong or something

Is your tank drilled or hang on back overflow, and how many drains are there
I was planning on installing a hang on overflow but wanted to know if I needed a specific size sump to work with an overflow I was going to get my tank isn't drilled

This was going to be my recommendation to lol

i would go with the biggest tank you can get . save some money and pick up a $1 dollar gallon sale at petco and customize it to what you want.
