Hi guys, I'm putting together a waterbox 60.2 reef setup which is about 55g system. It will be mainly lps to start with but I intend to keep some sps and maybe go sps dominated later down the line. I have been looking at the bubble magus skimmers as I had one a few years ago on my last 100g and it worked well but that was a long time ago.
Would the bubble magus curve or A5 be over the top for this setup or would the C3.5 be better? Feel free to recommend other manufacturers aswell if there is better out there without crazy price tags. Thanks

I must say when I had my 55G I didn’t run a skimmer. Water changes was my method and didn’t have a single problem.
With that being said, I don’t know your stock too.

I would like a skimmer just because I like them and don't want to be doing alot of wc maybe 10% weekly. Knowing me it will end up fairly well stocked with coral and inverts but not many fish. I'm unsure as to how big is necessary with lots of sps as I have only kept a few acros before.

Imo and ime a skimmer that is slightly undersized works better and is more stable than one that’s oversized.

OK I think perhaps I will go with the c3.5 as they seem good for the price and cheap to run.

On my 75 in running a 150sss (it's way too big) but I put a small valve on the air line to make it act smaller. It was to good of a deal skimmer was free but needed a pump lol

OK well that shows a curve 5 is way to big for my tank then lol. dang right if a deals to be had then its got to be done.
