I'm setting up a 2' cube right now, and was wondering what the best option of a skimer would be. It'll be mostly sps with lps on the bottom. I'll also be running biopellets, with minimal live rock. So what skimmer do you think would suite me best? I have about square foot space for a skimmer.

Stoked on my Deltec MCE 300. Been solid for a couple years now.Ive heard the MCE600 is a better design, but once I learned how to use the 300(its a little finnicky,) I have zero complaints.

Edit:If youre looking for an in-sump, disregard my post

That's actually the skimmer I'm most interested in. Hopefully it works well

I am sure like MANY here, I have gone thru my share of skimmers looking for a "good" one,
well once I hit the SWC line I stiopped-They rock and wont break the bank.
I had a SWC 200 on my 150 that was quiet and pulled all kinds of gunk. I know have the extreme 250 on my 400 and its awesome.
Here is a link to a local reffer selling a cone, maybe to big for what you need but priced well-not sure if he would ship.

SWC and super reef octo are great-IME

good luck

swc 180 - 2 months old

I was debating super reef octopus and swc went with the super reef octopus cause the bubble blaster pump is supposed to be worth it alone
