I'm wondering what smaller fish are good to have in smaller frag tanks 10-30gal.
I know sixline wrasse eats some pests, but what else is there that's beneficial ?
If you could also state what the particular fish you know of is helpful with.

Following this as I have a shallow nano tank and I'm not sure what I want to put in it yet 24"x12"x 7" tall.

Preferably something not know to jump as I really don't want to put a cover onnit

I will definitely be following this thread because I had a lightning maroon that’s never jumped out of my tank jump out of a frag tank. He was a baby and now I’m wondering what kind of fish I can’t put in a frag tank.

most fish can jump out...

While I know most can I just don't want to put a skittish fish in that jumps at the slightest movement since it's in a living room.

in my experience gobys are biggest jumpers

If you looking for a Frag tank fish, usually you want a useful fish. A few fish that have a purpose. A blenny would control any algae, and a wrasse like a leopard or Melenarus to eat any little pests. I know 6 lines wrasses devour bristle worms and flat worms but can be territorial. If you looking to add a little bio load, a small group of fish would work. Maybe a few Pajama or Blue eyed cardinal’s or a few Chromis.

You could get a six dot goby if you need to sift sand... they’re exactly like the diamond gobies but way less skittish and less likely to jump.

Springeri damsel is a good choice for smaller fish. And only the springeri variety of damsels. Stays small (don't overfeed, it's there to eat flatworms, but don't completely starve it either. [emoji5] )

The yellow damsel also works, but gets bigger.

For algae control try a half dozen dwarf cerith or just 1 or 2 smaller trochus snails.

What type of frags are you planning?
