What SPS are ok to touch?

Some will touch and battle it out to a stalemate, others will kill a branch, and still others will experience significant damage well away from the point they touch. I would not let a dragon type touch anything since they are notorious for dying if anything goes wrong.

Slimer vs Miami Orchid. Two tough staghorn types have battled to a stalemate for now.

Here are the two I am concerned about. That encrusting monti is working its way closer and closer to that acro. And the dragon and green monti are already touching.

This is nearly as cool as the pictures of bullets fused together after hitting eachother in flight. Lol I'm sure this happen much slower though.

If you value the red dragon and stag I would move them.
Dont move them if they already settle in and growing. Moving to a different spot will have higher fatality. Your best bet is trimming.

I am the type of reefer to let things duke it out on their own. More interesting that way IMO.
Agreed, all my colony are growing into each other. I let mature do its course. What i mean from monti, they lost all the battle against my acro and learn to grow around it

How do SPS handle coast? I imagine a monti will grow over them and acros etc will sting them. Or do the Zoas just overrun everything?

With encrusting Monti's, I chip away on it as it gets closer. In my experiences the encrusting will try to over grow the other SPS. As mentioned, I would be concerned about the Acropora carduus being over grown.
