What states has more reefers?

Good Idea. My guess is California.

Though I'm from NC, and know quite a few, but no where close to Cali

probably those who are close to the coasts, like California and Florida. I would think there's a lot more selection plus the prices are considerably lower.

There are a lot of Texas reefers as well.

I am from Florida have we have tons here!! very active reef community.

Oregon has a good number of them

California for sure. People here don't even look twice when they see a Saltwater setup.

Illinois seems to have a pretty good amount of fishkeepers as well, lots of tanks in Chicago (Seen LOTS of FW setups too).

Can't wait to move from SC (Not much in terms of reefing) to FL (My home state and a great reefing state!). I would say Cali as number one but notso sure about FL being number two, there has been crazy surges lately in other states.

Wow noone mentioned MA.... Boston reefers alone has over 6500 members and doesnt account for the thousands of guests that watch but don't subscribe.. Then theres the number of specialty reef shops in and around Boston and south.. The numbers of hobbiest in the state are amazing... Not saying it has the most per population but deffinately in the top 3. Now here in IN. gotta be pretty close to last.. Can't even find a decent reef shop within 2 hours driving time...

i would say california as well with florida probably being second. all i know is my home state of ky has very few reefers. cant get any good frags off fellow reefers :(
