Because the bigger version already supports my 13.5 and my 6g tide pool.

that above tank sump setup is wild. I love it. I am also working with space constraints in an apartment, I have my sump just setting next to my tank on a platform. Need to build a box for it so i can cover it. I didnt build my stand initially with the thought of adding a sump (originally planned for a cannister filter).

The small 6g on the right is run off a canister filter. It is one of my best running tanks. The filter over the 13.5 is a surge filter, dumps 2.5g ever few minutes.
